Outside Therapy was founded by Alyse Pfankuch, LPC, after years of working in traditional therapy settings that left clients waiting, burned out, and frustrated by “one-size-fits-all” systems.
Alyse saw the need for something different — care that treats the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
She built Outside Therapy as a place where:
Clients can start without a waitlist.
Sessions move at your pace, not insurance red tape.
Practical, evidence-based tools help you make real progress.
Therapy prepares you to live outside of therapy — not depend on it forever.
Today, Outside Therapy serves clients across Wyoming through in-person sessions, telehealth counseling, and outdoor therapy experiences that blend mental health care with movement and nature.
We believe mental health is more than talk.
It’s sleep, nutrition, movement, relationships, faith, and purpose — all working together.
That’s why our care focuses on:
The Whole Person – Mind, body, and environment.
Flexibility – In-person, online, or outdoors.
Clarity – Every client leaves with tools, not just insight.
Completion – Therapy that’s built to help you finish strong, not stay stuck.

When you start therapy here, you’ll never be “just another client.”
You’ll be met with respect, honesty, and a clear plan to help you move forward.
You’ll always know:
What we’re working on.
Why it matters.
How progress will be measured.
And when you’re ready to transition out of therapy, you’ll leave with a framework you can use for life.
Healing doesn’t just happen on a couch.
Our outdoor and community partnerships help clients rebuild balance in their real lives — through activity, connection, and purpose.
We partner with local Wyoming organizations like Clean Eatz and Stag and Cross Outdoors to support clients’ nutrition, fitness, and wellness beyond traditional counseling.
Because progress doesn’t stop when the session ends — that’s where it begins.
